It Does Not Rain In Far Cry 4

Some piece of interesting news about Far Cry 4 is that it never appears to rain in Kyrat.

Far Cry 4’s creative director Alex Hutchinson commented on the topic on his twitter account. He told a fan that there is a “day/night system” in the game, but it will never rain in Kyrat. Other weather types like “fog and snow” can be found in the game, but not rain.

A dynamic weather system is usually featured in modern racing games, although some action games use them. It’s not too important that it doesn’t rain in a FPS game like Far Cry 4. It’s good to know there is a day/night system. It will give the game a more realistic touch that it isn’t daytime 24/7.

Hutchinson also revealed in a separate tweet that Far Cry 4 players won’t have access to the Himalayas at any time during the game. The Himalayas are only “restricted to specific missions“. This might come as bad news for some, but nothing that will truly ruin the experience. It was revealed a few days ago that the game will have a lengthy campaign of around 35 hours anyway.

Far Cry 4 releases from November 18th for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
