Rainbow Six Siege released last fall to solid but not amazing reviews that largely centered around the lack of content, which led to many people abandoning the game rather quickly. To try and build that player base, Ubisoft is choosing to give everyone a chance to check out the game this weekend that owns an Xbox One or PC.
As revealed on the game’s official website, everyone can experience Rainbow Six Siege on Xbox One and PC this weekend for no cost at all. This is not just some mere trial with one game mode, but rather the full experience like we’ve seen with the similar Free Play Weekends that Xbox Live does occasionally.
While advertised as the weekend, Rainbow Six Siege is already available for free on Xbox One as of 3:01 am EDT today, July 28. PC gamers will have to wait a little longer, as it will go up at 1:00 pm EDT today for that platform.
The free period will end at the same times they started on Monday as well, with Xbox One ending at 3:01 am EDT on Monday, August 1 and PC ending at 1:00 pm EDT on Monday, August 1.
To find this free game on Xbox One, all you have to do is go to the product page for Rainbow Six Siege on the Xbox Games Store and download it. PC is a little more complicated, as you first have to install the Uplay PC app first and then download it from there.
Regardless of which platform you’re checking this one out on this weekend, make sure not to miss out. And if you really enjoy the game, you can save 50% on the Standard and Gold editions of the game through Sunday as well.
