Rep. Thomas Massie posts ‘I am not suicidal’ in cryptic message, and his oddly specific list has everyone deeply concerned

Made the post after bashing MAGA media

Kentucky Representative Thomas Massie shocked people on social media when he posted a strange message saying, “I am not suicidal.” This is not something you expect to see from a member of Congress. The post quickly got strong reactions from his supporters and others who saw how troubling the statement was.

What made the post even more alarming was the very specific list of reasons Massie gave. According to Raw Story, he wrote, “I am not suicidal. I eat healthy food. The brakes on my car and truck are in good shape. I practice good trigger discipline and never point a gun at anyone, including myself. There are no deep pools of water on my farm and I’m a pretty good swimmer.”

The list is unusual and worrying. When a public figure feels the need to talk about his car brakes and swimming ability, something serious is clearly happening. The unusual post came after Massie had a public argument with well-known conservative media personalities.

This strange statement came after a public fight with powerful conservative media figures

He had been criticizing what he called “the swamp” in a long social media thread. Massie directly accused conservative commentators, including Laura Ingraham, of lying to the public about a vote involving the SAVE Act. He also claimed that even members of Congress are fooled by these media stories.

Massie wrote, “Can you, the people, ‘vote your way out of this?’ Honestly, not if you get your news from these folks.” This was a strong attack on his own party’s media supporters. The representative has previously spoken about how Trump attacked his wife during political disagreements.

Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene quickly defended Massie in the thread. She talked about his mental health and happiness. Greene stated, “These are not the type of public statements that any of us should have to make.

But I’ll back this up as his friend. Thomas is one of the happiest people I know. He loves his kids and grandkids. He loves his wife. He loves his life. And he loves our country and Kentucky.” People are trying to understand what is really going on. Massie has often gone against GOP leadership. He has also been pushing hard for the Justice Department to release all the Epstein-related files without any parts hidden.

One political commentator pointed out on BlueSky that both Massie and Greene have asked for the Epstein files to be released. Both have also sometimes voted against President Trump on certain laws. Because of this, they have been attacked, and Greene has said she receives death threats. Recently, Massie has called for Lutnick’s resignation over Epstein connections.

Another suggested that Massie might be responding to real threats. It makes sense, since Republicans and Democrats who oppose President Trump often face attacks and threats. The publisher said only Massie knows how serious the threats are, but found it “jarring to see these half-performative, half-serious statements being issued by a sitting Member of Congress.”
