Retailers list Watch Dogs for Wii U

Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs may be coming to the Wii U, according to recent listings by two major retailers. Both Best Buy and GameStop have listed the open world title for the Wii U, alongside the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions which have been confirmed.

This news follows on the heels of a leaked marketing poster for the game which confirmed the game for a 2013 release on “All Home Consoles”. Yes, despite everyone counting you out of the fight completely, the Wii U still falls into that category.

All Home Consoles could also mean there will be a next-gen version of Watch Dogs in the works as well, especially if Sony does in fact reveal the PlayStation 4 later this week. If this turns out to be true, this move could give Wii U owners some hope that Ubisoft isn’t completely withdrawing its support of the console after the Rayman Legends debacle that sent the game into six month delay earlier this month.
