The release of BioShock: The Collection is on the horizon, and now with there only being about a month until it launches 2K has released a brief video bringing us back to Rapture. While the footage focuses on just the first game in the series, we still get a great look at the upgraded visuals that you can see at the bottom of this post.
While the remastered visuals do look great so far, it has to bee said that the game’s visual design holds up fantastically all these years later. The BioShock series had a seriously ambitious world from all facets, and it has caused the game to age extremely well. It will be interesting to see how the already vibrant and eye-popping Columbia from BioShock Infinite will look with upgraded visuals, as that game’s world was already stunning to begin with.
If you’re wondering what the collection includes, it contains all 3 BioShock games that include all previously-released DLC. There will also be a brand new director’s commentary called Imagining BioShock, which features Ken Levine and Shawn Robertson.
You can look forward to more sneak peaks at the remastered versions of the other games in the collection within the next couple of weeks, as 2K confirmed that in the comments section of the video below.
