Don’t think that Rockstar has forgotten the Bully franchise with all of their upcoming sequels in the works. Â Dan Houser recently revealed that the developer is considering a sequel at some point. Â Houser claims that due to “limited bandwidth” for the developer, they decided to go with the Max Payne franchise instead.
Houser said in a recent interview with Gamasutra:
“We have been meaning to start it for awhile, but we have limited bandwidth and limited studios, and more games to make than we’ve started. Â So suddenly it was a good slot,” Houser said when speaking about Max Payne 3. Â When speaking about Bully, Houser said that the franchise is one that “we adore and might come back to in the future.”
When Rockstar will have the time to revisit the Bullworth Academy is unknown, but its nice to know that one of the most charming games of this generation is due a sequel in the future. Earlier this week, Rockstar unleashed the first developer video for Max Payne 3, and in it they explain the finer points behind the game’s mechanics. Have a look at the recently released video below.
