Rockstar has announced that their hit detective title L.A. Noire is coming back with four new versions of the game on November 14th. Releasing for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, the upgrade will allow current gen gamers to experience this classic game in all its original glory. The biggest news for longtime fans though is that the game will hit VR platforms in the form of L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files for HTC Vive.

Featuring seven of the original cases from the game, The VR Case Files will offer a brand new way to play L.A. Noire on HTC Vive. “Rebuilt specifically for virtual reality, blending breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience,” explains Rockstar.

The PS4 and Xbox One versions of L.A. Noire will offer the usual upgrades, including all the DLC, and playing in 1080p on regular consoles and 4K on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Those looking for something a bit more unique can look at the Nintendo Switch version where Rockstar will be adding “specific enhancements including a Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work.”

L.A. Noire was very well received when it hit back in 2011 for PS3 and Xbox 360. The game featured a new take on the detective genre, while also offering open world elements similar to GTA.
