Benecio Del Toro may have teased in a new interview the type of character that he will be playing in Star Wars: Episode 8.

Benecio Del Toro has historically denied the type of character he will be playing in Star Wars: Episode 8 in many interviews. Whatever comes out of his mouth shouldn’t be taken too seriously, although today he might have slipped something interesting.

During an interview with Grazia magazine (via StarWarsNews), they asked him how his daughter will feel about the character he plays in the new movie. He said: “And who knows? We’ll see, I’ve never played an intergalactic villain. Seriously, perhaps the film will not be suitable for her, but my dream is to take her with me at least to the premiere, on the red carpet“.

It’s worth mentioning the translation might not be 100 percent accurate as Del Toro mentioned “kidding aside”. He may have been slipping his tongue, or maybe he is telling the truth. After all, Disney would have moaned at him if he were to leak anything about Star Wars: Episode 8 at this point.

Del Toro is a veteran in Hollywood and has the acting experience to play a powerful new villain. The movie is not out until December 2017, so we have a long time to wait until we hear of any official news about it.
