Rumor: Halo 5: Guardians Xbox One File Size Revealed

The file size for Halo 5: Guardians may have just been revealed and it will take up a lot of hard drive space on the Xbox One console.

According to a report from finder.com.au, the website has received word on the file size for Halo 5: Guardians.

The game is question will take 46.19GB. This is before you take into account DLC, update patches and anything else you may need to download for the game in the future.

If you only have the base 500GB on your Xbox One console, you might want to consider upgrading if you want to fit this game in. Not to mention Halo 5 is not the only game that will be out this Holiday season too. I’m pretty sure the likes of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Fallout 4 will have large file sizes as well.

Although this file size sounds feasible, we’re labeling this news as a rumor for now until the game’s file size is officially listed on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

As big as 41.19GB is, this is slightly lower than the over 60GB that the Halo: The Master Chief Collection needed when it launched last year. That game was huge since it was a collection of four games.
