Vanquish is coming to PC, and it’s going to be a lot earlier than many expected. Â About two weeks from now, Â Vanquish will hit PC on May 25th, 2017. Â Following the success of releasing the original Bayonetta on PC, it’s not a huge surprise that SEGA is on board with releasing some of these older titles that never made their way to the platform.
Originally released back in 2010, Vanquish found a cult following on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Â Another Platinum Games title, Vanquish is a third-person shooter that featured a number of interesting mechanics for its time. Â The game had fast-paced action, big boss battles, and was part cover shooter, part 3D bullet-hell.
PC owners will finally get a chance to play Vanquish on their platform of choice, and if they do anywhere near as good a job with Vanquish as they did with Bayonetta, they’ll be in for a treat. Â Bayonetta was not what anyone would consider a sloppy port, and had all the bells and whistles one would come to expect from a modern PC release.
While the announcement isn’t necessarily unexpected, a Vanquish image was found in a recent update to Bayonetta, it’s nice to see that SEGA is getting way out ahead of this one and giving folks time to get their pre-orders in. Â Pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition gets you some free content, including a Digital OST Sampler, Art Book, Wallpapers, and Avatars.
Like Bayonetta, Vanquish will be releasing on Steam.
