Shadow of the Eternals only has 24 hours left in its Kickstarter campaign.  The troubled title has only raised $312,000 so far, short of its $750,000 goal.

Shadow of the Eternals, considered as the spiritual successor to  Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, still has a chance to redeem itself.   That chance doesn’t last long, as the crowd funding initiative only lasts until midnight of Friday August 23. This campaign had been cancelled by Developer Precursor Games on June 6,  and they explained “exciting new opportunities” emerge; will return in next few weeks.  The campaign re-launched on July 25 with a goal of $750,000, less than the initial goal of $1.35 million and with a commitment from Metal Gear Solid voice actor David Hayter to play the lead role of detective Paul Becker.

Shadow of the Eternals is a single-player, third-person action adventure game with horror elements that is said to provide gamers with  8 to 10 hours of solid gameplay. It is using Crytek’s CryEngine 3 for the PC and Wii U, and the PC version will be DRM-free.

Shadow of the Eternals is scheduled to launch by October 2014 but after that Kickstarter campaign ends, we will just have to wait and see.
