With the announcement of Xbox One Backwards Compatibility over a year ago, players scrambled their brains trying to think of the best Xbox 360 games that they’d like to play on their Xbox Ones. A few immediately jumped to mind, with the service slowly adding them over the past months. Still, one highly fan requested game was left out there, Skate 3, but it arrives today.
“The Skate franchise fundamentally changed the skateboarding genre, and Skate 3 made everything that was already great about the series even better while adding a number of notable improvements,” reads the announcement from Microsoft. “It’s no surprise that this title has been a fan-favorite. In addition to the already excellent Flickit control scheme, Skate 3 offers players the chance to team up with their friends to build a skate crew and shape their brand on their way to becoming a mogul.”
As part of this release, fans can also grab the San Van Party Pack DLC at no charge.
The release is part of the anniversary celebration of the initial launch of Xbox One Backwards Comatibility. We’ve already seen additions made over the last few days, including Mass Effect 2 and 3. The official date of the launch was November 12th, so expect more big news soon.
