Sony has now given a small update to the development for The Last Guardian. It’s good news as it sounds like the game is nearly finished so this may put to rest any fears of it getting delayed.
Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida talked more about the progress on The Last Guardian’s development during the latest episode of the PlayStation Blogcast.
As of right now, the game has been through many playtests already and the development team are now polishing it. In other words, the bulk of the game has been finished and now they are just testing out if it runs properly. After all, it’s important to ship out a game bug free or else the customers will get mad.
Yoshida said the development team want to improve things at the very last minute, but they were confident enough to announce the release date at E3 2016 earlier this year. He also said in order to avoid spoiling the story, there won’t be many hands-on demos before release and they won’t be showing too much of the game.
The Last Guardian comes out exclusively for the PS4 on October 25th, 2016. The game comes out three days later if you live over in Europe.
