Sledgehammer Games is committed to offering a great sounding game with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and has recently published a new developer diary discussing the sounds of the upcoming shooter.  The short developer diary with Don Veca discusses how they’ve decided to make the game believable in its future setting and stay grounded with reality.

Veca says that a huge part of the audio in Advanced Warfare is in the intelligence of the systems, not only to play back cool sounds, but to monitor the outside world. “The cool thing about that, is not only does it sound more realistic, but you virtually never hear the same impact or explosion twice,” says Veca.

Earlier this year, Veca talked sound with Game Informer where the sound designer explained how competition between the likes of DICE and the Battlefield series are helping make Call of Duty sound better.
