Last year, Square Enix held their own E3 presentation, after not hosting one for a few years prior. The company will be back this year, however, with another presentation slated for the Monday just before the convention begins.
Square Enix recently announced that they will be holding an E3 presentation on Monday, June 10 at 6:00pm PST/9:00pm EST. As is standard, those who won’t actually be in Los Angeles to experience E3 firsthand will be able to watch Square Enix’s showcase online as it streams all over the world.
What specific games the company will reveal or detail during the presentation remains a mystery, but they do have some juggernauts waiting in the wings that fans will certainly be anticipating some information about, such as the Final Fantasy VII remake and The Avengers Project. Last year, most of Square Enix’s E3 showcase dealt with games that had already been revealed or given new trailers during other companies’ showcases, which left Square Enix’s own showcase feeling underwhelming. Hopefully, this year the company will save some exciting announcements and reveals for their own presentation so that fans will feel it’s still worth their time to tune in, rather than feeling like it’s mostly a smaller rehash of the Xbox showcase again.
