Star Fox Zero Will Have Two Player Co-Op

Today is the much anticipated Nintendo Direct that we’ve been waiting for and it kicked off in high fashion with lots of details about Star Fox Zero. One of the most interesting details came early, with the reveal of two player co-op.

Shigeru Miyamoto told us a lot about the new game, but the biggest may have been that friends can play the game together in a cooperative fashion.

The person holding the Arwing will be all about piloting the Arwing, while the one using the GamePad will only be in charge of shooting instead.

Being able to just focus on one of these could make it easier together, but it’s hard to say without trying. It likely will depend on just how good of a connection the two players have together. Hopefully this mechanic will work quite well, with it likely being polished a good bit as a result of the delay from last year.

Stay tuned for plenty more Nintendo Direct coverage as the night goes on, with Star Fox Zero having a good bit of new information. What are you hoping to see from Star Fox Zero when it releases? Make sure to let us know in the comment below.
