Star Wars Battlefront 2 Was the Most Popular Game of E3 2017 on Youtube

With the doors of E3 closing one more year, it’s time to draw some conclusions of what happened in Los Angeles last week. Youtube has performed a detailed analysis of the user activity in the streaming platform, and has come up with a rank of the games that gathered more activity either by official uploads of trailers, the coverage by the industry, or the traffic generated by reaction videos. Using that measure system, Star Wars Battlefront 2 takes the crown as the most popular game of this year’s E3, among the more than 200 titles that were announced at the fair.

Following in the rank are Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Origins, EA’s FIFA 18, Activition’s Call of Duty: WW2, and Sony’s God of War as the top first party title. Other titles including in the top 10 are Super Mario Odissey, Marvel’s Spider-Man, EA’s new IP Anthem, Need for Speed Payback, and one of the surprise hits of the fair: Dragon Ball Fighter Z.

When limiting the analysis to official uploads of trailers, teasers, and gameplay videos, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 still came out on top, making its dominance as the most popular title undeniable. Super Mario: Odissey jumped to second position, followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man, FIFA 18, and Need for Speed Payback.
