Star Wars Battlefront news will soon be few and far between considering Star Wars Celebration is coming to a close. That doesn’t stop eager developers at DICE from spilling the beans to fans who just want to know more about the upcoming title via Twitter.
Star Wars Battlefront and DICE design director, Niklas Fegraeus took to Twitter to answer fans questions regarding the upcoming game. Of course the most noteworthy question was if the title will run at 60FPS on consoles and to which he replied:
“I got this Dennis. It’s 60 fps!
That’s a good sign for framerate afficionados, but Niklas also clarified that split-screen will only be for certain modes where you will want to play with a friend next to you in Star Wars Battlefront.
“Split-screen is for local play only, so it is for when you play Missions with a friend”
Then he went on to talk about maps, which at first many thought there were only going to be 8 or so maps. This is not the case and he clarified that there will be a few maps per planet in Star Wars Battlefront.
“There will be more maps than 8, and more than two per planet at launch.”
There you go, framerate, local play and maps info all first-hand from the developers themselves. It’s pretty great that DICE was so eager to let fans know more information about Star Wars Battlefront.
Star Wars Battlefront is set to release on November 17th, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
