Star Wars Boba Fett Movie Confirmed

According to a report from The Wrap, a Boba Fett movie has been confirmed.

The Boba Fett movie is going to be the second spin-off Star Wars film and will be due out in 2018. Fantastic Four’s Josh Trank was originally its director, until he decided to drop out of the project late last week. The search for another director is on its way.

The Boba Fett movie will be an origin story. We may get a chance to see how he becomes the deadly bounty hunter we all saw in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

It will be interesting to see if New Zealand’s Temuera Morrison is still available to star in the movie. He played Boba Fett’s father, Jango Fett, in Attack of the Clones. Daniel Logan is probably old enough to play the character now. Logan was the little Boba Fett in Attack of the Clones.

Hopefully Disney opts to stay with continuity and a New Zealand Maori actor is cast in this new Boba Fett movie. If Logan and Morrison aren’t available, my pick would be Manu Bennett. Bennett was tough when he was Deathstroke in Arrow.

The best case scenario would be for Temuera Morrison to reprise his role in the Boba Fett movie.
