This year’s Star Wars Celebration event kicked off today, April 11, and announcements are already coming out. One of these announcements is for the first Star Wars game coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Zen Studios recently announced in a press release that they are bringing Star Wars Pinball to Nintendo’s hybrid console later this year. The game will feature 19 different pinball boards, representing various parts of the Star Wars franchise. Star Wars Pinball will see representation from all three trilogies of movies, as well as the spin-off movies Rogue One and Solo, and even the TV shows The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.
This Switch version of the game will also include exclusive features, such as utilizing the Switch’s HD Rumble feature. There will also be new modes in this version, such as Galactic Struggle, a community-wide mode that will allow players to contribute points to either the dark or light side, and a Career Mode, a sort of campaign mode that will require players to accomplish a number of specific missions. Additionally, the Cantina Jukebox will allow players to listen to any song they’ve heard at some point in the game.
Star Wars Pinball is set to release both digitally and physically on the Switch on September 13. You can watch the game’s announcement trailer below.
