Lucasfilm have released the official poster for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. The poster, available below, gives us our first look at Carrie Fisher’s return as Princess Leia, alongside Han Solo, Chewbacca, R2, Kylo Ren and the rest of the usual suspects… although Luke Skywalker is nowhere to be seen.

Lucasfilm also confirmed the recent rumour that the third trailer for The Force Awakens will air during Monday Night Football on ESPN, with tickets going on sale directly after the trailer airs. And there’s more, as Lucasfilm went on to confirm Star Wars marathons at several theaters across the United States. The Star Wars marathons will start with Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and show each film in a row leading up to the launch of The Force Awakens. To check out if the Star Wars marathon is appearing at a theater near you, head on over to StarWars.com.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is to be released in December around the world and will be the first Star Wars film for ten years, since Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith completed the prequel trilogy.
