Stranger Things, the hit show from Netflix and The Duffer Brothers, practically oozed 80’s charm and nostalgia. The show took its viewers back to a simpler time, when kids sat in their basements playing Dungeons & Dragons, and bullies tormented them all day. OK, so things might not have changed that much, but the 80’s vibes were thick and heavy, and now a new trailer pushes this once again, making the whole first season look like an 80’s adventure game.

Spoilers are big and constant, so if you haven’t watched Stranger Things season 1, then take the few hours and do it before watching the trailer below. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. The show is fantastic, weaving nostalgia both through its setting and its stylistic choices. The show draws from all the classic scifi and horror fiction of the 80’s, with a heavy dose of Stephen King layered throughout.

This new trailer will also help get you caught up for season 2, which debuts in late October on Netflix. With the promise of even bigger threats coming from the Upside Down, you’ll definitely want to get a refresher on where things stand at the end of the first season.
