Capcom is hoping to announce specific details for update patch 1.02 for Street Fighter 5 next week. They will reveal what new modes will be included and more.

Capcom announced on its official blog what we can expect to hear next week: “We know you’re all very eager to hear more about what will be included in the March update, in addition to getting more details on Alex. We will have a major news drop next week on what modes are coming, additional bug fixes and more, so stay tuned!

Street Fighter 5 had a less-than-stellar launch last month with netcode problems and a lack of modes for offline players. Hopefully this upcoming new update patch in March will make the game more playable. We do know the Challenges mode and in-game store will finally be available.

Capcom also clarified what a “rage quitter” is. Some people were worried if they’ll be unfairly labelled as rage quitters if their Wi-Fi disconnects for whatever reason. Capcom said rage quitters will be people that “have an 80-90% disconnect rate“. You won’t be punished for having the odd disconnection error.

If you are a Street Fighter 5 rage quitter, your League Points will either be deducted or reset entirely. Capcom has already penalized 30 players and will continue to search for more offenders on a weekly basis.
