The beta for Street Fighter 5 on PS4 has not gone off to a great start. Many users are experiencing server issues at the moment.

The official Street Fighter Twitter page announced:

We have brought the servers down for temporary fixes as of 7:25pm PST. We will make a few fixes and bring it back up ASAP.

Although this may seem like a bad thing, it’s probably a good thing in the long run. This is the exact type of things betas are for. It’s better to know that Street Fighter 5 is not working now, compared to it not working when the full game comes out.

There have been far too many games that have been out in recent months that have been broken online. We can go back to games like Battlefield 4, Driveclub, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection just to name a few.

As of time of writing, the tweet was posted about one hour ago and people are still having problems trying to log in and play the beta. Hopefully Capcom considers to extend the beta for a few more days or so since nobody can really play it today.

Again, the Street Fighter 5 beta is currently having issues do don’t worry if you cannot play it on your PS4 right now. Lots of other people are having problems and Capcom are working things out.
