Sunset Overdrive Full Game 24 Hour Free Trial Being Held This Weekend

Sunset-Overdrive

This weekend is the one year anniversary of the release of the Xbox One and to celebrate the occasion, Microsoft and Insomniac Games have teamed up for one hell of a promotion. Starting at 12:01 am EST tonight, November 22, all Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download and play Sunset Overdrive for a 24 hour free trial.

This is far from your basic free trial either, as the full game will be unlocked for everyone to play. This means that players can unlock achivements and save progress, both of which will be transferred to the full game if you so choose to buy it at any point later. This is near unprecedented on consoles for a game this new, especially to offer this much of a game without paying.

The game’s eight player co-op mode titled Chaos Squad will also be available tomorrow, but that will require playing a bit into the campaign before it is unlocked. This 24 trial should give gamers a chance to try out the excellent single player and multiplayer fun offered by Sunset Overdrive, which could lead many to purchase the game.

If you were thinking about buying a Xbox One this weekend, it might be a good idea to do so today, to take advantage of this awesome event.
