Leave it to Nintendo bring out an awesome surprise like this. The company has announced that they will have a special presentation for the upcoming DLC fighter, Hero, for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on July 30 at 6 am PST/9am EST which is this Tuesday. As if this wasn’t enough, they also revealed that the series directer, Masahiro Sakurai, will be there as well to showcase Hero, and announce when he will officially join the roster.

Prior to this reveal, rumors swirled the internet for close to two weeks as to when Nintendo was going to announce Hero’s release date. Along with Banjo-Kazooie, Hero is one of the most anticipated fighters for Ultimate, a game that is already jam-packed with a whos-who of Nintendo, and non-Nintendo related characters. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise us if the company decided to shadow drop Hero at the conclusion of the presentation, although we still have to wait and see.

It’s also important to reiterate that this presentation will be for Hero and no other upcoming DLC fighter. So for those who are waiting for Banjo-Kazooie’s release date, just hang in there a bit longer. Hero’s inclusion also makes him the first Dragon Quest character to be featured in series. In addition, what makes him unique among his peers is that his colors/skins will be some of the other Heroes in the Dragon Quest games.

As we stated earlier, the presentation for Hero will take place on Tuesday, July 30 at 6am PST/9am EST. You can watch it on Nintendo’s official Youtube and Twitch channels.
