Bandai Namco has released some new information for the upcoming Tales of Berseria PC release. Possibly the biggest piece of new info is that the PC release of the game will be using Denuvo DRM.
According to the developers, pirates would slow down development for future PC titles which wouldn’t be fair to fans that purchased the game. So they’re going to use Denuvo because they believe it to be a reliable way to combat piracy. This will be the third time that Bandai Namco uses Denuvo for a PC release of one of their games with the previous two titles being God Eater Resurrection and God Eater 2: Rage Burst.
In addition to the Denuvo reveal, details on the PC version of the game were also released. The game will have full controller support and players will be able to rebind the controls to whatever they’re most comfortable with. They also reveal that there will be “several pages of visual settings to customize” which include screen resolution, antialiasing (SMAA & FXAA available), anisotropic filtering and other various options.
Supported resolutions for the PC release are upscaled 4K, 1080p, and 800×600 of various ratios. The game will also run at 60FPS by default with the option to lower it to 30FPS for smaller configurations.
While this isn’t new information, they also reminded fans that a demo for the game is coming out tomorrow, January 10, for both PC and PS4. They also wanted to reiterate the system requirements for the PC version of the game, which will be listed down below.
