Bandai Namco has presented a new trailer showcasing the first DLC package for Tekken 7. The fighting game is receiving a bowling minigame called Ultimate Tekken Bowl, which will be released next August at a price yet to be determined, although it’s included in the game’s season pass. The irreverent trailer presents series creator Katsuhiro Harada playing some bowling himself, before letting the DLC gameplay take the main focus.
The Ultimate Tekken Bowl looks spectacular and more realized than ever before. It offers some welcome break from the tension of the main game, and puts the characters in a much more playful environment, away from the seriousness of the fighting tournament.
The bowling minigame has appeared in previous entries like Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 5. It quickly became a fan favourite for its fun gameplay, which is why this DLC seems like it will have an excellent reception from the fanbase.
Ultimate Tekken Bowl will be released as a DLC in August, although Bandai Namco has not given a release date yet. Tekken 7 is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Watch the trailer below.
