Last year saw the release of the vanilla version of Tekken 7 to many arcades in several countries. Today marks the release of Fated Retribution which is the newer version of the game.

Tekken 7: Fated Retribution has come out in Japanese and Korean arcades today and a lot of people have uploaded gameplay footage online. You can either watch streams on Twitch or see many videos that have been posted up on YouTube.

In terms of Akuma, Tekken veterans don’t have to worry about the character being too hard to defeat. There was some concern with some fans that Akuma will be too cheap if he spammed all of his Hadoukens all of the time.

According to players that have played as him already, Akuma does have weaknesses that other fighters can exploit. First of all, he’s one of the slowest fighters in the entire game. Fighters can also get around his Hadoukens by simply side stepping him.

That’s not to say that Akuma is totally useless in the game. He’s currently the most played character so far. This is mainly because we have never seen a Street Fighter fighter featured in a Tekken based video game before.

For those waiting for the home version of Tekken 7, it will be out in early 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The home version will be updated with all the content in Fated Retribution, plus future stuff will be supported via DLC.
