Tekken fans will be happy that Tekken 7 will be playable at a special event in North America later this month.
Madcatz Community manager, Mark Julio, tweeted the following announcement:
“Playable for the first time in North America, TEKKEN 7 will be heading to FINAL ROUND 18!”
The arcade version of Tekken 7 will be coming to North America for the very first time. The game had only previously made appearances in Japan and South Korea.
Final Round 18 is a special fighting game tournament held in Atlanta, Georgia. The event is happening from March 20th until March 22nd.
It was announced a few weeks ago that Tekken 7 will also be making a return to North America during the EVO 2015 tournament too. Final Round 18 will be a good opportunity for professional gamers to prepare for EVO 2015.
Bandai Namco has yet to announce if Tekken 7 arcade machines will be coming to North America outside of special events like Final Round 18 and EVO 2015. One might hope that they will eventually be coming later this year.
Bandai Namco is still keeping very quiet about a console version for Tekken 7. Hopefully an announcement for the console version is made at E3 this year.
