The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Amiibo Functionality Announced

Nintendo has explained in more detail on what Amiibo figures can do to improve the gameplay experience in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild .

As some of you may know already, the 30^th Anniversary Amiibo figures for The Legend of Zelda are out in stores today. Nintendo revealed in a blog post what these figures can do in Breath of the Wild.

• 8-bit  Link will reward you with a random number of barrels. You might find rupees inside too!
• Ocarina  of Time Link will reward you with a random amount of meat.
• Toon  Link will reward you with a random amount of fish.
• Wind Waker Zelda will reward you with a random selection of plants.

These aren’t the only figures that will be compatible with the game. It was announced a few months ago that the Wolf Link Amiibo from Twilight Princess also works on the new game as well. The Wolf Link can be a companion to the human Link in Breath of the Wild.

The new Zelda video game recently won the most anticipated title award at The Game Awards. It will be out sometime in 2017 for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch. Expectations are really high since the game has been delayed multiple times already.
