The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has Leaked, Avoid Spoilers

Everything is still unverified at this point, but it seems highly likely that the contents of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s Wii U version has been leaked online. This means that spoilers of all kind will be rampant, once they start to spread outside the seedier places of the internet. If you’re wanting to go into the experience completely unscathed, you’ll want to exercise caution until The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild hits stores on March 3rd.

The leak has been a long time coming, with reports of parts of the Wii U game being available to certain groups starting a few days ago. They weren’t easily accessible though, but that seems to have changed recently. So far, 4chan, Reddit, Twitter, NeoGaf, and other social media websites have seen spoilers popping up, with some being confirmed as real, and others being fake. It seems like the game isn’t necessarily playable, but contents of the disc are being shared, which can ruin the experience.

Plot spoilers are probably the worst of these, but you’ll also get spoiled on items and other gameplay elements. We’ll be avoiding any sort of spoilers, so take this article more as a warning than anything informative of the leak.

Game leaks happen often, though not always this far in advance of a release. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is still over a week away from launch, so spoilers hitting the internet is not what anyone wants to see, except the jerks who post them, of course. Other leaks have been blamed for lower sales figures for games, but Breath of the Wild is so highly anticipated, that I doubt anyone will take this leak and not end up buying the game.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild hits Wii U and Nintendo Switch on March 3rd.
