The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD has been one of the worst kept secrets in all of gaming through datamining leaks, with us mostly just waiting on it to be revealed. When a new Nintendo Direct was revealed, we figured it was coming, and they gave us a big revealed during it.
The HD version of the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is very real coming quite soon. While there was some speculation it could be a stealth release for 2015, it won’t be coming to next yet, but it’s still not too far away.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is coming on March 4 for Wii U exclusively. However, this isn’t coming alone, as it will also be coming with a special amiibo of Wolf Link and Midna together. In addition, the previously released Zelda amiibo will be compatible with the game in some way as well.
This amiibo looks fantastic and will be bundled directly in with the game. There wasn’t an indication if the bundle was the only way to get this amiibo, but it likely would be sold later as per most past bundles.
In addition, those who pre-order the game will get a really sweet bonus soundtrack for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD as well.
Look for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD to arrive next year on March 4, with The Legend of Zelda Wi U coming later this year.
We’ve also got confirmation that somehow playing Twilight Princess HD will carry over in some way to The Legend of Zelda Wii U, but that’s all they revealed today.
