Video Game retailers across multiple platforms have begun their annual Star Wars sales in celebration of Star Wars day, also known as May the Fourth be With You. Along with some great discounts, the original Star Wars Battlefront is now available to purchase on both Steam and GOG for the very first time. No this isn’t the 2015 online only iteration, its the 2004 title that launched the spin-off series that some still play to this day.

It’s an interesting addition to their massive libraries, especially considering that they also house the games superior sequel, Star Wars Battlefront II. However, if you haven’t played this 14 year old classic, and since it’s on sale for only $8.49 right off the bat, we recommend that you give it a shot. It’s still a blast to play regardless of the platform, and if you don’t want to mess with the online portion, you can always play through the game’s campaign mode, or play matches against the A.I.

As we stated earlier, releasing the original Battlefront isn’t the only thing happening with Star Wars Day this weekend. Multiple outlets are holding special Star Wars Day Sales, but the biggest one is easily with Steam. They even have a special landing page that highlights all of the Star Wars games that have been released, with some of them being discounted for as low as $2. You can also purchase specific bundles for a special price, or if you want to go crazy you can buy the entire Star Wars game library on Steam for just $84.56. Either way, if you haven’t played any Star Wars titles, now is the best time to binge.
