Developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher EA have announced the next free DLC release for last year’s Titanfall 2, which is called Colony Reborn and will be available across all supported platforms on March 30th. The DLC is notable for featuring a remade map from the first game called Colony, which has been brought back with a fresh coat of paint.

The map is described as being set among a sleepy settler town, with the dense center being filled with narrow streets, interiors and rooftops surrounded by open Titan lanes. Accompanying the new map is a new execution called Curb Check and a new weapon called the R-101. The following is a description for the new weapon:

“Universally well regarded for its unique versatility, the R-101 platform has been a mainstay of human conflict since the first settlers arrived from the Core Systems. This version is outfitted with ACOG scope.”

Joining the free content is the release of new paid cosmetic items, which are the following:

Prime Titans

  • Northstar
  • Legion

Titan Art Nose Art

  • 5 new designs
  • 1 new Warpaint per Titan

Camo pack

  • 20 camos

Callsign pack

  • 20 banners
  • 20 patches

Accompanying the announcement of new paid and free content is a celebration of the launch for Colony Reborn, which is being done by way of another free trial weekend that begins on March 30th and runs until April 3rd. As for what you have access to in the free trial, you’ll be able to play the full multiplayer experience, the Training Gauntlet and the single player mission The Beacon. The Training Gauntlet and The Beacon will remain free even after the free trial period comes to an end.

During the free trial weekend there will be a new playlist called Colony 24/7, which will of course only feature that particular map while supporting a variety of different modes. A patch will release alongside the new DLC, though patch notes will be released closer to launch.

Titanfall 2 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Check out the trailer for the Colony Reborn DLC below.
