The Titanfall beta will run the game at a native 792p resolution, this is an increase from the 720p rumors that have been circling for months. In comments made to Titanfall Blog at the recent preview event for the shooter, Respawn Community Manager, Abbie Heppe revealed the news.
The website reports that Heppe also claims that while the Titanfall beta will run at 792p, the team is looking to close in on 900p with the final build.
This 792p for the beta will be upscaled to 1080p on the Xbox One.
While many have lauded the Xbox One for needing to upscale many of its games to 1080p, the launch titles for the console that did hit 900p were impressive to say the least. Ryse: Son of Rome was largely regarded as one of the best looking games to launch on either the Xbox One or PlayStation last fall, and it was 900p.
The Titanfall Beta begins on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. For details on how to get into the Titanfall Beta, head here. To read our hands-on impressions with the Xbox One version of Titanfall, check out our in-depth Titanfall Preview.
