The second of three planned expansions for Titanfall has just been announced by Respawn Entertainment. Titanfall: Frontier’s Edge will bring three new maps to the sci-fi first-person shooter game. The maps are called Dig Site, Haven, and Export, and all of them take place on the outer edge of the Titanfall universe.

Titanfall: Frontier’s Edge will bring three new maps to the game called Dig Site, Haven, and Export

Dig Site is said to be an isolated mining outpost, Haven is an exclusive beach resort, and Export is a mining hub on the side of a mountain. No further story details were provided, but considering that the last expansion, Titanfall: Expedition, took place after the main campaign, I would assume the same here.

Titanfall: Frontier’s Edge will be available individually for $9.99, or as part of the Titanfall Season Pass which includes access to all three planned expansions. The season pass is available for $24.99, saving you $5 over buying all three packs individually.

No release date information was made available for Titanfall: Frontier’s Edge. If it follows the trend set by the previous DLC then the release should come in the next month or two. While you wait, you can try out the maps introduced in Titanfall: Expedtion. To see what we thought of those you can check out our review. If you haven’t played Titanfall at all then you can read our review here, or Respawn’s description of the game below:

“Set in the near future on a distant frontier torn apart by war, Titanfall drops players in the middle of a conflict between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia. The action is rapid and varied – featuring parkour-style wall running, massive double jumps and the ability to hijack titans. The freedom to shift back and forth between pilot and titan allows players to change tactics on the fly, attacking or escaping depending on the situation and extending the action vertically to new heights.”

Titanfall is available now for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
