It appears the upcoming Hit saga is not a big story arc at all. The next big saga for Dragon Ball Super is happening in 2017 and it looks very interesting.

As reported by Kanzenshuu, next week’s issue of Shonen Jump magazine shows what the next story arc for Dragon Ball Super will be about. However, this story saga will not start until February 5th, 2017.

Dragon Ball Super takes a break for New Year’s Day, plus there are a few other episodes after that. It’s possible they don’t want to start a new saga until the Holidays are over. After all, some people don’t watch as much TV during the holidays.

Anyway, this saga is called the “Universal Survival Arc“. It says “Now to battle Universe 7’s mightiest team“. It’s possible this saga is the multi-universe tournament that was talked about a few months ago. This will involve more than just Universe 7 and Universe 6.

The picture includes an interesting team of Buu, Krillin, Android 18, Android 17, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Master Roshi, Tien and Piccolo.

Gohan fans should be happy as it looks like he’s not a nerd again. At one point of the franchise, he was the strongest fighter out of all of the Z fighters. It will be interesting to see how strong he is now.

The most surprising addition is Android 17 to the team. He was a park ranger during the Buu saga and we never heard of him since. It appears the character was leading a normal life, until this saga came about.

The picture doesn’t show us if Goten and Trunks are allowed to fight. It’s possible no kids are allowed to fight in the tournament, although this has yet to be fully confirmed. We’ll just have to wait for more details as they come our way.
