Not a lot is known about the Nintendo NX console at the moment, but many believe it could be innovative. Aside from Nintendo, Ubisoft also has high hopes for the new console.

Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, talked briefly about the Nintendo NX console at the company’s latest financial conference call. Much like many others in the game industry, he is looking forward to what the console can bring to the table.

He said: “On the NX, what we have seen is really great, so we think having a new machine coming is going to help the industry to continue to grow and to take lots more casual players back in the industry.”

One of the reasons the original Wii was so successful was because it managed to attract casual players. The Wii U on the other hand failed to attract a large audience of any kind.

There is a chance the NX could be successful as Nintendo is a persistent company. Nintendo is currently on a high right now as the stock price continues to grow thanks to the success of Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go is proof that Nintendo still owns famous IPs that can attract lots of people worldwide.
