Ratchet and Clank PS4 may have been released week later in the UK, but that didn’t stop it from topping the video game charts. Star Wars Battlefront on the other hand got a huge boost in sales.
GFK Chart-Track reports that Ratchet and Clank PS4 sold extremely well compared to the previous best of Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time. The animated movie will be out soon and reviews were good for the duo’s latest offering. Sony and Insomniac Games are sure to be happy with the game’s reception.
The force was strong with Star Wars Battlefront as that game shot up to the charts to be in the number three position. This is thanks to the release of Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens which came out in the UK last week on Blu-ray and DVD. Sales for Battlefront rose to an astounding 177 percent.
For some reason, Dark Souls 3’s unit sales plummeted by a big margin. Even though it still held the number 2 position, unit sales dropped by a large 80 percent compared to last week when it debuted at the top. It’s possible the game’s difficulty scared potential customers away…
As for the rest of the new releases, Star Fox Zero debut at number 6 while Rugby Challenge 3 only came in at number 13. The PS4/PS3 version of Euro 2016 came in at number 23.
