Lately, DONTNOD, the developer behind Remember Me and Life is Strange, has been releasing videos for a web series called “DONTNOD Presents Vampyr” in which the studio gives some behind-the-scenes details about their upcoming action-RPG Vampyr. Today (February 8), the fourth and final episode of the web series came out, and at the end of it the game’s release date was revealed.

After having the tease release date of “spring 2018” for a while, this video finally revealed that Vampyr will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 5. Prior to the reveal of the release date, the video showed DONTNOD discussing video games as a medium and how it is unique to other forms of entertainment in that it is more dependent on the audience and the gameplay and narrative decisions made by the player. They also discuss how video games as entertainment are similar to watching movies or plays.

Now that Vampyr is almost wrapped up, it’s possible that we may begin hearing news on one or both of the other projects we know DONTNOD is currently working on, which include a new original IP and a new Life is Strange game. In the meantime, you can watch the new episode of “DONTNOD Presents Vampyr” below.
