The follow-up to Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs isn’t too far off now, and its release next month has just been made official. Ubisoft has revealed that Watch Dogs 2 has gone gold, with the work on the base game now being complete and ready to be pressed onto physical discs.
The announcement was made through the game’s official Twitter account, which also came with a strange GIF that you can check out by clicking right here. It’s definitely an interesting way to make the announcement, especially considering it’s in a style completely different from what we’ve seen from the main game.
Despite the game going gold, there of course will still be more content for the game on the way in the form of DLC. All DLC will be released on PlayStation 4 first, and we know that one of the DLC includes the Zodiac killer.
The game definitely has some pressure on it, considering the first game was seen by many as a disappointment. However, this game will be changing both its protagonist and setting, with the hacking mechanics from the first game also being improved upon.
Watch Dogs 2 will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 15th, though the PC version won’t launch until November 29th.
