What Trump claims the ‘incompetent’ Supreme Court’s disastrous ruling secretly handed him will leave you speechless

President Donald Trump is absolutely fuming about a recent Supreme Court ruling, but in a wild twist, he’s also claiming this “ridiculous, dumb” decision secretly handed him even more presidential power than he had before. “The supreme court (I’ll be using lower case letters for a while based on a complete lack of respect!) of the United States accidentally and unwittingly gave me, as President of the United States, far more powers and strength than I had prior to their ridiculous, dumb, and very internationally divisive ruling,” President Trump vented on Truth Social.

According to The New York Post, Trump believes this ruling, which struck down his use of a specific law for tariffs, actually opened up new avenues for him to take “terrible” actions against foreign countries. Specifically, he thinks he can now use “Licenses” to target nations that have been “RIPPING US OFF for many decades.” The catch, according to his interpretation, is that he can’t charge a license fee for these actions.

This surprising claim comes after the Supreme Court dealt President Trump his most significant legal defeat of his presidency just last week. The high court ruled that he couldn’t use the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose his sweeping worldwide and country-specific tariffs. This was a huge blow to his protectionist agenda, especially since IEEPA doesn’t even mention tariffs and no president before him had ever used it for that purpose.

The President is not happy about his protectionist agenda taking a hit

After that, Trump turned to other legal authorities to reimplement his tariff policy. He invoked Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 to impose a global baseline rate of 15%, which is an increase from his previous 10% rate. This move was made due to the increased difficulties in issuing customized rates against countries now that his IEEPA use has been shut down.

These Section 122 tariffs will expire after 150 days unless Congress re-ups them, but his team is already working on other legal avenues to keep them in place.

His anger isn’t just about the tariff case, though. President Trump is now predicting another major loss from the Supreme Court in the upcoming birthright citizenship case, Trump v. Barbara.

“Our incompetent supreme court did a great job for the wrong people, and for that they should be ashamed of themselves (but not the Great Three!),” he seethed, referring to Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito, and Clarence Thomas, who sided with him in the tariff case. He expects the court to rule in favor of countries like China, which he claims are “making an absolute fortune on Birthright Citizenship.”

Trump has consistently argued that the 14th Amendment, which guarantees almost everyone born on U.S. soil citizenship, was specifically written to address the “babies of slaves” and not to grant citizenship to children born to non-citizens.

He believes the current policy has turned the U.S. into a “mecca for illegal immigrants” who come to the country specifically to have babies so their children can become American citizens. He even signed an executive order on the very first day of his second term to end birthright citizenship.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments in this new birthright citizenship case on April 1. “But this supreme court will find a way to come to the wrong conclusion, one that again will make China, and various other Nations, happy and rich,” Trump further vented. “Let our supreme court keep making decisions that are so bad and deleterious to the future of our Nation – I have a job to do.”
