As big as the world is in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the game is set to amazingly have no load times.

Gamespot had a chance to interview Jonas Mattsson who is the senior environment artist for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Mattsson admitted the game has no loading times whatsoever.

Mattsson said:No, there’s no loading times. Only when you actually start the game, when die and load the game, or when you fast travel. That fast travel loading time depends on how far you have to travel of course. If you just fast travel a little bit, it’s a really short loading time.

Mattsson went on to say that the reason The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt doesn’t have any loading times is to ensure the gameplay experience is smooth. The team wanted the game to feel fluid and be “one big experience“. He even stressed that there are no loading times when you enter and exit from buildings too.

It’s a great achievement that there are no loading times in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game’s map is very large. Normally there are several load times implemented in open-world style of video games. Bloodborne has multiple load times every time you die. Thankfully the latest update makes them more bearable.
