Microsoft’s indie development initiative should be kicking into high gear in 2014, according to comments from the Xbox One platform holder. Two of the first games shipping for the ID@Xbox initiative will be a new Worms title, and Nutjitsu.

Microsoft Studios head Phil Spencer revealed the two new titles coming to Xbox One via Twitter. Spencer says he played two of the first games to ship under the ID Xbox flag, just ahead of DICE.

“Played 2 of the first shipping games, a Worms game n Nutjitsu, right before DICE,” said Spencer. Both games had previously been unannounced titles for the Xbox One.

While we still don’t know much about this mysterious Worms game, Nutjitsu is more of a known quantity. The game is currently available on the Windows 8 Store as a free to play title.

The Independent Developers Publishing Program for Xbox One allows game developers of all sizes to produce and self publish games digitally on the Xbox One. Right now, any developer can apply to the program.
