Microsoft has had a hard time catching on in Japan with their Xbox 360 console, but this most recent month was downright dreadful.  From May 16th to June 12th Microsoft only managed to sell 6000 units in all of the land.  According to Famitsu, via Andria Sang, the month was also pretty dreadful overall for the software market.  Meanwhile back in North America, Microsoft continues month after month of domination over the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

Why just in the last three recorded months in North America, Microsoft has sold around a million Xbox 360’s.  By comparison you can see that there is definitely trouble for Microsoft in Japan, but at this point it looks like they are doing just fine without them.

The company has gone on the record recently to claim that they are looking to take over the worldwide lead in console sales, but they are definitely going to need some help from Japan, and at this point just any help would be good.
