Microsoft is going to start rolling out new features for the Xbox One in dashboard updates. May will see updates that add further functionality in the areas of Audio Controls and Voice Recognition Features.

The Xbox One will be getting a Sound Mixer for Apps with Snap and Volume Control. This will allow users to control the volume levels of multiple apps when using snap features to decide which app should be louder. Xbox One users will also be able to control volume levels when using Kinect for chat.

Microsoft will also be starting a opt-in Speech Recognition program, to help improve functionality of the Kinect and its ability to recognize more commands. The program is completely optional and users can opt-in to the program for product improvement.

Microsoft says that these new features will roll out to Xbox One dashboard early access participants later this week.
