Microsoft has revealed their Games with Gold lineup for December and it includes a wide variety of different titles that spans the Xbox One and Xbox 360 (with Xbox 360 games playable on the Xbox One).

All month long, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download Warhammer: End Times Vermintide as part of their subscription.  Originally released in 2015 and set in the Warhammer fantasy universe, Vermintide is a first person shooter that received relatively middle-of-the-road scores from critics when it released a couple of years back.

From December 16th through January 15th, subscribers can download Telltale Games’ 30th Anniversary Edition of Back to the Future: The Game.  Like other Telltale titles this is an adventure game that was originally released back in 2010 just before the developer’s critically acclaimed entry in the genre for The Walking Dead.

On the Xbox 360 and Backwards Compatibility side of the offering is an odd pairing.

From December 1st through the 15th, subscribers can download Child of Eden.  Created by Tetsuya Mizuguchi (REZ) this rhythm/action game was originally conceived as a title for Microsoft’s Kinect.  While the company has ceased their focus on the motion controller, Child of Eden can be played without it and is quite enjoyable regardless.

From December 16th through the 31st, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death.  This hack and slash title was released in 2013 and was developed by Microsoft Studios.  Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death never quite took with critics according to its Metacritic score, but does hold a positive ranking on Steam.  Perhaps it’s one that’s worth revisiting…. as it’s free with Xbox Live this month.

In December, Tales from the Borderlands will also still be available from now until December 15th.

Microsoft calls this month’s offering a $104 value according to the going rates for the games and they feature 3840 Gamerscore Points to earn.
