May is coming to a close and June is just around the corner, so it’s time for Microsoft and Sony to unveil the free games their customers can expect through their subscription services. Sony kicked things off already with two big titles, and now it’s Xbox’s turn. Today saw the announcement of all four games Xbox Live Gold members will receive at no additional charge, and they’re pretty great. Here’s the Xbox Live Games with Gold titles for June 2019.
EA Sports NHL 2019 for Xbox One – June 1st to the 30th
Rivals of Aether for Xbox One – June 16th to July 15th
Portal: Still Alive for Xbox 360 – June 1st to the 15th
Earth Defense Force 2017 for Xbox 360 – June 16th to the 30th
Of course both Xbox 360 games will be playable on Xbox One through Backward compatibility, so this gives members four games to play through the month. As usual, the newer console’s titles will only stay on your account while you remain an active Gold member, but the Xbox 360 games will be added permanently.
As far as how good these games are, well it’s one of the newer sports releases to make it to a service like this. With the Stanley Cup playoffs hitting their climax it’s the perfect time to get some NHL action in. And more Portal is always welcome, even if this is a pretty old.
