Microsoft has announced in this year’s Gamescom a special limited edition of Xbox One S themed after the megahit Minecraft. The console abandons its standard white color and replaces it with the appearance of a classic grass block from the game, and even featuring Minecraft sounds when booting up. The controller also adopts the appearance of one of the elements from the game, the iconic creeper.
Even years after Microsoft bought the IP in 2014, Minecraft continues to be extremely popular thanks to its dedicated fanbase and its cross-generation appeal. With this bundle, Microsoft gives fans the chance to take their devotion to the next level.
In fact, the company is paying homage to those fans who have spent dozens of hours building massive structures in the game with the additional download code for the Redstone Pack, which takes the name after the gemstone that allows players to take their creations beyond the expert level. The Redstone Pack bonus content includes new villains, Redstone Specialists, and the Biome Settlers Pack 1 and 2.
Check out the official list of contents of the bundle:
- Xbox One S Limited Edition 1TB Console
- Limited Edition Creeper Xbox Wireless Controller
- Minecraft digital code
- Minecraft Redstone Pack bonus content digital code
- Xbox One S Vertical Stand
- 1-month Xbox Game Pass trial
- 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial
Additionally, Microsoft has also announced their new Minecraft-themed controller, taking the appearance of a Minecraft pig.
